Another year!

I find it hard to blog very often.....as you can see.  But once again I am going to TRY to be more frequent and show more things that I am working on.  A local scrapbooking store has classes for various techniques, I've taken 3 or 4 and it has been fun and opened up a new avenue of processes.  It has been a while since I've gone, but I'm signed up for one on Saturday!  I can't wait!  I love the instructor, she is so sweet, patient and shares her "secrets"!!  I will try to make some pictures and post this weekend what we get to try out!  Before then, my goal is to make a few things and post each day to share from the past classes. 
On another note....I have a niece that is turning 60 February 1st.  My sisters were much older than me so I grew up with my nieces and nephews and felt like I had 3 mommas!!  LOL!  My niece lives in Oklahoma and goes to some scrapbooking crops (but she makes cards) as often as she can.  I picked up a few things and will be putting in the mail for her this week to arrive on her birthday.  Her mother, my sister, died in September so I want to make this a special day for her!!  The first she will have without her mother.  I remember how sad and lonesome for my Mother the first birthday I had after she died.  Of course, I still had my oldest sister, I was born on her 22nd birthday....she had already been married over a year when I was born!  I live in North Carolina so I can't be there to celebrate for her birthday, so I have a "celebration" box with little card making supplies and cute tags attached to make her day special from me!!
