Checking in!

It has been a couple of busy weeks!!  Last weekend I took a much needed trip to visit one of the best friends God ever put in my path!  We have known each other for over 40 years and each time we get to see each other it is like we have never been apart.  We seem to pick up where we left off! It had been 13 years since we had seen each other, but had the best 2 days, laughing, talking sharing our life experiences and of course shopping.  Then it was back to work!  A  L O N G week back to work!!

This morning I let myself sleep in.  Then I cleaned my bathroom, got a load of clothes in to wash and then decided I would clean out my refrigerator!  UGH!!  Took out everything in the frig, even all the shelves and drawers!  Threw out stuff and then made some changes with the placement of shelves and drawers and where I stored things.  Looks completely different!  I hope I don't forget where I put everything!!!  Who would have thought what hard work it turned out to be, I was so hot and sweating by the time I finished!  I'll have to take a shower before my next venture to head to Bed Bath and Beyond for some Debbie Meyer storage containers for fruits and vegetables....my friend swears by them!!

Not much time for crafting lately...maybe later on today!! I miss it!!!

  1. Sounds like you & your friend have a wonderful friendship. I do not have any friends that I've known that long that still keep in touch. Closest would be one that I've known for 10+ yrs from when we both worked for a Hallmark store. We get together once a mth, play dominoes & chat. I have 2 refrigs: regular size one w/ freezer on bottom in the kitchen and a smaller one with freezer on top in garage. Store drinks in the garage one mostly and put freezer items for hubby to take to work now that his company closed the lunch room cafeteria and they only have refrigs to put their lunches in & microwaves to use. We also have a freezer in the utility room where I put most freezer items. The freezer in utility room is a manual defrost so I unload it ever so often and clean out the ice & water. Went out to eat today for early Mother's Day. Hubby & daughter are going to cook a Mother's Day dinner.
