CardzTV Challenge

A Masculine Card...well this is what I came up with....I used "It's a Guy Thing" paper stack paper and the Handy Man Lite Cartridge for the drill. Can be any kind of occasion...Happy Birthday, Thank You, Thinking of you....etc.

Card & matching Bag

I have a sweet friend that is having a birthday tomorrow! I made her a special card and a matching gift bag....used 2 sheets of cardstock, ran through the shredder and then folded in an accordian shape to form the filler for the top of the bag. Turned out really cute! Since it is January, I used a snowman and Garnet rhinestones for the buttons going down the front of the snowman on both the card and bag since Garnet is the birthstone for this month. I hope she likes it and the gift!! I will try to post pictures soon!

New Week!

Tried a couple of challenges.....need to get the creativity flowing! Feel like I need to start getting the inventory built up! Just can't seem to get motivated......

Diaper cake & basket car seat

Up last night until after midnight making final touches to the baby shower items. Boy, was I tired today! We looked up the registry for the new mama and used Create a Critter for most of the baby animals to decorate the diaper cake. My daughter used items collected from people at work for the baby and came up with the idea to use them to design a Car seat using a basket. Used onsies for the canopy and ribbon to make a harness for the doll...all in all it turned out really cute! And everything was a hit at the surprise baby shower! Here are the pictures:

Update

Well we have a couple of prototype baby shower invitations done....still a couple of ideas to work out. On top of that....we have a diaper cake to create. And I am having pain in my hip and upper thigh....can hardly walk at times! Meds to ease the pain make me so sleepy...I was worthless today. Ready for relief and living a normal life!

Baby Shower Invitations

Had a request today for Baby Shower Invitations.....we are working on some samples...will post pictures as we go along! Hopefully our first big order of 2012!! Maybe this year will be the start of a whole new opportunity for "Handmade by R & B"!!! We ask you, Lord, to lead us in the path You have planned for us! Thank You, Father for Your love and ever faithfulness to provide and encourage when times get tough!! We truly are so blessed!!

Tuesday!

Back to the 'real world'.....to work! It is cold cold cold here, I came home and put on a pot of Taco Soup....smells YUMMY! A good night for good yummy soup! I hope to have some cards to post soon! Can't wait to share my ideas! Hope this year will bring me more creativity and our business will take off and help us supplement our 'habit' of making cards. Here is the most recent Thank you card:

NEW YEARS DAY 2012

A new year...I hope to be more diligent to keep up with my blog and post pics of items I've made! The craft room is basically done...a few shelves for books...but it turned out really great! I'm so excited with it. Still trying to remember where we put everything! HA!
We made 75 to 80 Hot Chocolate matchbook holders! WOW!! They turned out really cute and no two were exactly alike! Sold several and gave away others as a Christmas card with a surprise! Fun making them and trying to make each one an 'original' for the recepient. Even made a few with expecting mothers on the fronts for friends and family expecting babies this year! Those were similar, but still different for each little momma!
I have a few pictures of our mantel...I'll try to post those later, we have a statue of the Kneeling Santa with Baby Jesus which is the focal point for the decorations. I looks sad to have things put away, but time will go by quickly and before you know it...it will be Christmas time again!
