August 28th

Well....another challenge! I decided to use the tri-fold card base. I used Plantin Schoolbook for the grass on front & oval for the 2nd section, Create a Critter for the sprigs of grass in front & Monkey with vine on the last section. Stamped the palm tree with monkey on the long panel and colored with Bic markers and colored pencils. Then used brown flock for the coconuts and the vine with the monkey. Fun card....great for the little boys in our lives!

Cricut Cardz Challenge

Going for my second challenge with Cricut Cardz Challenge. Used Simply Charmed to make school items for a card for a special little girl in our family in Oklahoma!! She started 1st grade this week! I added a couple of things for the challenge and here we go! I just love to watch Mary at CardzTV, she does such beautiful cards and is so humble and Godly!!! A wonderful example! Good luck to all who enter!!!

August 17th

Well, about time I got back to this blog! Haven't had too much to write about...guess I live a boring life! I have 2 little Great-Great-Nieces in Oklahoma that have some special things going on. One started 1st Grade and the other turns 4 this week! We put together a little 'care package' for them and I made a card for each. If plans work out I might get to see them next month!! YAY!!! In the meantime check out the pictures of their cards below:

July 31st

Our sweet friend, Pammy, turned 50 today. We wanted to make her day special so I (R) and my daughter (B) created cards and packages just for her special day! First I'll post pictures from B...she did a beautiful job of creating a 'cake' with the assembly of the packages.....she found items for Pam's desk at work,,,a shoe tape dispenser and a purse pop up sticky note holder....Pam LOVED them!

See....BEAUTIFUL!!! She went for the "vintage" look!!

I wanted to try some new things.....had seen a tri-fold card, so I made one for her dogs...Sophie & Tucker to give to her.  Used Paisley Cricut cartridge for the dogs...then Sweet Treats for the Ruff Ruff and bones......I liked the way it turned out!  Two more views:

Lastly is the card and matching bag I made for her gift from me....Betty Boop PJ's and a DVD of old cartoons we watched as kids!!  And some candy...she LOVES candy!!!

I saw a YouTube video using aluminum foil with Cuttlebug embossing folders...thought the 'aged' look would be fun to use for her 50th birthday!!  We had fun, shared lots of laughing and a good time!! AND I took her a carrot cake with candles ( 5 0 ) for the top!!  YUM...it was GOOD!   I'm so lucky to have a good friend to talk to, share laughs and confide with my hurts or frustrations in life!
Thank you, God, for filling my life with good friends!!!
